DoDI 4151.22 Condition Based Maintenance Plus

This instruction reissues DoD Instruction (DoDI) 4151.22 in accordance with DoD Directive (DoDD) 5134.01, to update policy for Condition Based Maintenance Plus (CBM+). This instruction defines CBM+ as an essential readiness enabler and primary strategy for achieving cost-effective system life cycle sustainment. Information on how to incorporate CBM+ into Reliability Centered maintenance analysis can be found in MIL-STD-3034A, Appendix F. This document updates established policy, assigns responsibilities, and provides procedures for the Military Departments and Defense Agencies for implementation of CBM+ pursuant to DoDD 4151.18 and DoDI 5000.02.
