Ron enlisted in the US Navy right out of high school for what became a twenty-two year career. During his career he served on a nuclear fast attack submarine, a diesel-electric research sub, a submarine tender (repair ship) and commissioning crew of an Aegis Cruiser. His shore tours included four years as a technical instructor and three years with NATO in Naples, Italy. Shortly before Ron retired as Electronics Technician Senior Chief (Submarine Qualified) he completed all coursework for a Bachlors in Marketing through Excelsior College of Albany, New York.

Ron retired on the Mississippi Gulf Coast and spent the next ten years working at a local shipyard performing logistics development for navy ship construction programs. In August 2005 Ron and his new wife Weifang were flooded out in hurricane Katrina. In 2006 they moved to Northen Virgina.

Ron's first job was with a small company performing foreign military sales business with Egypt and Lebanon. In 2008 Ron joined the consulting firm Booz Allen Hamilton and has since worked on a number of programs for the US Navy and US Coast Guard as a logistics subject matter expert in the shipbuilding and ship repair industry.

Ron is currently attending George Mason University working twards a graduate degree in Instructional Design. He plans on retiring from full-time work in several years and working part time developing vocational training programs for adult learners.

Ron and his wife Weifang live in northern Virgina. In their free time Ron and Weifang enjoys kayaking, boating, hiking, traveling, and home improvement projects.
